Practice Activities, Audio & Visual

Courses feature optional practice activities wherein participants are presented with various scenarios and are asked to answer specific questions pertaining to the scenarios. They will receive feedback based on their answers, in order to more fully comprehend the material. The curriculum of all courses will be fully audio-enabled to allow the course participant to listen to the course like an audio book. The course will incorporate video excerpts for visual references to the course material.

WHMIS - 2015

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System - 2015 (WHMIS)

Every employee who works with, or in proximity to, a hazardous product in the workplace must have Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training. In February 2015, WHMIS was modified to align with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). The most current WHMIS is known as WHMIS 2015.

Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)

In the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) course, participants learn relevant regulations and proper training, proper documentation, safety marks and means of containment, forbidden goods, exemptions and special provisions, as well as immediate reporting and procedures to follow in the event of an emergency. A printable certificate is available upon completion.


Note: Although this is a nationally recognized course, prospective employers may or may not accept any prior training and may still require re-training after hiring.

The term "Lockout/Tagout" refers to specific practices and procedures to safeguard workers from the unexpected energizing or start-up of machinery and equipment, or the release of hazardous energy during service or maintenance activities. This Lockout/Tagout course explains the importance of this procedure in protecting the health and safety of workers. The course examines basic workplace safety tenets and examines the specific stages and procedures of the Lockout/Tagout process.
